Questions people ask before downloading
Is the local app really free forever?
Yes. One person, one machine, unlimited documents — no account, no credit card, no trial clock, no feature countdown. You only pay when your documents leave your machine: syncing them across your own devices is the paid Individual tier, and collaborating with other people is the paid Team tier.
Do I need an account to use it?
No. Download the app, point it at a folder of markdown, and start working. There is no signup screen, no login, and no cloud step in between.
How does attribution work between me and my agents?
Every change is tagged with who made it — you or a specific agent — so you can tell at a glance which paragraph came from Claude, which came from a script, and which you wrote yourself. Identity is self-reported in the free app; verified identity across people is what the Team tier adds.
What happens if two of my agents write to the same file at once?
DraftMesh gives your whole fleet one coordinated home instead of raw filesystem access. Writes are serialized and versioned, so two agents editing the same document produce two tracked versions, not a corrupted file.
Can I roll back a bad edit?
Yes. Every version is kept automatically, whether the edit came from you or an agent. Roll back to any prior version in one step — nothing is silently overwritten.
What if I just want my own documents on more than one machine?
That is the paid Individual tier: your own documents, synced across your own devices, still just you. The free tier is one person on one machine; nothing local changes when you add sync.
What happens when I want to bring a teammate in?
A second human means moving to the Team tier for verified identity, sharing, and sync across people. Your local files and history come with you — nothing is thrown away.
